It's been many months since my last update, so I guess I have a bit to write down. No major changes have taken place in my life since the last you heard from me, just some odd things here and there. My sister went to china to study medicine last month.. I can't really say that I indifferent to it because I do sort of miss her presence. She stays in touch through email right now, but once she's moved into her dorm she's sure to be able to get online on a more regular basis. My work environment has improved; not sure if it's because things have actually improved, or if I've merely adapted to that environment. In any case, I've managed to earn a promotion and my salary has doubled within the 14 months, so I think thats pretty good. There's still the usual bullshit I have to deal with, but it becomes a little easier now because I have atleast some kind of authority that allows me to take decisions on my own. I know a certain someone would *eye roll* at me mentioning my promotion AGAIN, but heh yeah :) I made a new friend on friday through their blog. Been communicating with her every chance I got, though I think I may become some what of a nuisance, so I didn't bug her as much today. It was she infact who suggested that I post something on m LJ. Almost forgot to mention that she's a Sri Lankan, who lives here, and she's been through most things as I. It still feels a little unreal at times, that I'm not the only one in this foresaken town who's messed up. I've called her each night for the past three days, and we spoke for about 2 hours each time, and we only ended the conversation because her mother would nag her to get off the phone, It was a most memorable weekend, and it made me feel good, not just the mediocre numbness I usually feel. So... yeah.. I guess thats all for now. Later.
